SMG In The Mix At Nassau

Live Nation and Forest City Ratner, the developer of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., have some competition in the race to revamp the aging Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island.

SMG Worldwide joins forces with Blumenfeld Development Group to propose a $200 million plan that would raze and replace the arena, according to the local Syosset Jericho Tribune. The new venue would include 10,000 seats and a 2,500-spot parking structure, the paper said. Construction is expected to take three years.
