Weezer Cruise Announces Lineup

Avast, ye landlubbers! The most excellent Weezer has announced the lineup for the band’s 2014 cruise. Shipping out in mid-February will be Cat Power, Toro Y Moi, Adam Devine, Ash and more.

Presented by Rose Tours and announced in March, the four-night Caribbean cruise departs Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 13 to return Feb. 17.

Of course, you get a lot of Weezer on the trip. With the band performing three sets, one of the performances is the aptly named “Beach Concert With Weezer” scheduled to happen on a private island off of Nassau. But the group won’t be going it alone. Joining Weezer on the beach will be Cat Power.

In addition to the previously mentioned acts, the cruise will host performances by Bleached, Caveman, DIIV, Holy F*ck, Ozma, Palma Violets, The Cribs, The Orwells and The Relationship. Add all that music to the usual amenities you expect on your cruises – parties, casinos, saloons, food, shipboard activities – and you’ve got the makings for an adventure you’ll be talking about until, well, the next Weezer cruise.

“Once we locked in all these great artists I started to feel Weezer is real lucky to be able to go on this cruise,” Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo said. “Sharing the boat with them and all of our fans is going to be so much fun.”
