Best Coast’s Next Road Trip

Following its previously announced East Coast routing, the indie rock duo has booked new dates throughout the band’s favorite side of the country with gigs in Washington, Oregon and California. Plus, Best Coast is headed to the Midwest and Canada too.

The Los Angeles-based group has new tunes to share from its upcoming EP. In a video posted on YouTube in February, Bethany Cosentino said the EP is due out later this year.

“Bob and I are going to be heading back into the studio starting Feb. 11 to record a brand new EP. … We’re so, so, so, so excited to be recording new music,” Cosentino said. “I’ve been writing a lot here in my bedroom. So, yeah, we can’t wait to get this out for you guys to hear.”

Earlier this week True Blood: Music From the HBO Original Series Volume Four was released featuring the song Cosentino and Iggy Pop recorded together – “Let’s Boot and Rally.”

Along with the East Coast headline dates in early June, you can catch Best Coast at Governors Ball Music Festival in NYC June 7. Plus, the band is playing Santa Barbara, Calif., with Belle & Sebatian July 17.

Most shows are on sale now. Tickets for San Francisco go on sale June 2.

Best Coast will also play Chicago’s Riot Fest, which takes place between Sept. 13-15.
