One Direction Imposter Charged

A man who posed as a member of One Direction with hopes of luring young girls into performing sex acts online is facing child pornography charges in a Connecticut court.

John Eastman was arrested after police received complaints in Vermont about a conversation between three girls and a Skype user posing as One Direction lead singer Harry Styles.

Eastman used the screen name Harry.Styles888 on the video chat application along with a picture of the singer, and authorities claim he would sometimes offer children concert tickets in exchange for nude photos.

“My hope is that the girl will show me herself on camera and then pose in a sexual manner, or perform some kind of sex act for me to see,” Eastman allegedly told police, according to documents obtained by the Waterbury Republican-American.
The man’s computer reportedly contained hundreds of images of child pornography as well as pictures of Styles and Justin Bieber.

Eastman is facing charges of first-degree possession of child pornography, employing a minor in an obscene performance and using a computer to entice a minor, the Republican-American said. He’s being held in jail on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court June 6.
