Guns N’ Roses Slots Gotham Surprise

Guns N’ Roses will play a “surprise” gig in the Big Apple tomorrow night.  The band revealed its top-secret plans just before tickets went on sale last night.  To no one’s surprise, it sold out as fast as, well, any GNR date at a 600-capacity venue.

Axl & Co. will play a full set at the Brooklyn Bowl Thursday evening with doors opening at 8 p.m. EDT.  Presented by Brooklyn Bowl and Governors Ball, tickets went on sale to the general public at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Tickets priced at $150 sold out “quickly” reports Rolling Stone.  A late-night after party follows the gig with GNR keyboardist Chris Pitman serving as DJ.

The gig is the latest in a series of intimate performances by the band.  During the past year the band has played Webster Hall in New York as well as Philadelphia’s Electric Factory and House Of Blues clubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and Dallas.

Guns N’ Roses plays Outer Harbor in Buffalo, N.Y., tonight and the Governors Ball Music Festival on New York City’s Randall’s Island June 8.
