Jagger, Yorn Rock HBO Series

Mick Jagger and longtime talent manager Rick Yorn are on board to co-executive produce an untitled series in development for HBO about a cocaine-fueled record exec set in 1977 New York City.

The Stones frontman, a NYC fixture during the time, no doubt brings a unique insight on the decade-defining year during which Big Apple went dark; punk, disco and hip-hop collided and the Bronx burned.

Actor Bobby Cannavale, who played the creepy Gyp Rosetti on the cable net’s “Boardwalk Empire,” is in talks to take the starring role, with Martin Scorsese, Terence Winter and Victoria Pearman also executive producing.
