Starland Reopens

The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J., has announced a September reopening following extensive repairs and renovation necessary after Superstorm Sandy.

The 2,500-capacity venue will feature Billy Currington, Taking Back Sunday and Volbeat among other shows, with tickets going on sale June 7 through new ticket seller Axs (Starland is an AEG-run venue).

Improvements include an additional platform level in the rear of the main ballroom, upgraded sound and lighting, and sight-line adjustments. The backstage and dressing rooms were modified and the building was reconstructed to address future storm or water issues.
Nearly two dozen contractors were involved in the renovation.
