Crossroads Arena Funds Recovered

The Mississippi state auditor’s office announced June 6 it had recovered more than $25,000 that was misappropriated by a former manager at Crossroads Arena in Corinth.

The state auditor’s investigation determined that Reggie Churchwell misappropriated public funds from the 9,000-capacity venue by failing to document receipts.

Crossroads Arena reps were reimbursed a total of $25,277.23 including principal and interest.

City officials voted in January to remove all members of the Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau because of alleged intentional overspending on some line items after the arena’s budget was slashed by $250,000.
