The More Neko Case Loves You

After spending the summer playing North American festivals from Wilco’s in North Adams, Mass., to the inaugural in Monterey, Calif., Neko Case will stay on the road for a new batch of headline dates scheduled through early November.

Case has a new album coming out Sept. 3 – The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You. The LP features 11 new songs penned by Case along with a cover of Nico’s “Afraid.”

She’s backed on the album by guitarist Paul Rigby, bassist Tom V. Ray, vocalist Kelly Hogan and multi-instrumentalist Jon Rauhouse. Special guests include M. Ward, Steve Turner, Howe Gelb, and members of The New Pornographers, My Morning Jacket, Calexico, Los Lobos and Visqueen.

Additional festival appearances include RBC Bluesfest in Ottawa, Ontario; the Toronto Urban Roots Festival; Chicago’s Hideout Block Party; and Musicfest NW in Portland, Ore.

Plus, she’ll also play Way Over Yonder in Santa Monica, Oct. 5, as well as Austin City Limits Music Festival sometime during its two weekends running Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13.
