Kate Nash’s North American Hat Trick

While many British artists tour North America once or twice within a year, musician/activist Kate Nash will return to these shores for the third time in 2013 come October, playing shows in Milwaukee, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and other markets in support of her third album, Girl Talk.

Nash’s first 2013 North American excursion took place in March.  Following an April run through the United Kingdom, she crossed the pond yet again to play series of U.S. dates in May.

Despite all the touring Nash has found time to speak out against social issues, such as the recent imprisonment of members of the Russian art collective Pussy Riot who were convicted of “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” for disrupting a church service to perform a “punk prayer” denouncing Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Nash also started her “Protect A Girl” initiative to help underprivileged girls in Africa and works to help girls in the U.K. and U.S. via her “Rock and Roll After School Program.”

Plus, Nash has an EP coming out next month.  OMYGOD! lands in the U.S. July 2.

And if the projects mentioned above aren’t enough to keep most mortals busy, Nash will be launching an exclusive signature bass guitar line with Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.  The instruments will be available by the time she begins her fall tour.
