Cee Lo’s Riverbend Set Complaints

Cee Lo Green’s headlining set at Riverbend Festival in Tennessee June 8 was memorable in more ways than one. Organizers reportedly won’t be inviting him back.

Festival rep Joe Fuller told the Chattanooga Times Free Press he fielded a deluge of emails from concertgoer complaining that Green, who arrived about 45 minutes late because of an airport delay, reportedly used foul language during his set.

Fuller said Green’s contract specifically stated there’s no tolerance of inappropriate language at the event.

“That’s something we had covered with his agency, that we were a family festival and that we didn’t want that to happen,” Fuller told the Press. “This is something we do our very best to curtail.

“We do everything within our power to make sure that does not happen on our stage. He certainly knew that was not acceptable.”
