Last Night I Dreamt That Morrissey Announced New Dates

Without any more previously scheduled gigs on his itinerary to cancel or postpone, Morrissey’s only option was to announce a new tour. The English singer plans to spend his summer on stage in South America.

In March Morrissey fan site/zine True To You reported that the former Smiths frontman would tour South America in July – and now the dates are here.

The excursion includes stops in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Before we get to the schedule, you should know that U.S. fans will probably have to keep waiting for Moz to make up his North American tour. True-To-You.net says “there are presently no plans for any further shows for 2013.”

Morrissey called off show after show earlier this year because of a range of health issues including a concussion, double pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and a case of Barrett’s esophagus. The BBC said in March that Moz had canceled or postponed more than 20 dates.
