La. Margaritaville Grand Opening

The $197 million Margaritaville Casino Resort in Bossier City, La., has been given the green light to open by the state Gaming Control Board and is preparing for its July 3 grand opening with Jimmy Buffett at the venue’s 900-capacity Paradise Theater.

The facility features 1,300 slot machines and 54 table games, a 400-room hotel and three restaurants.

Concerts on the books through mid-November include Lee Greenwood, Bill Engvall, Marshall Tucker Band, Jerry Jeff Walker, LeAnn Rimes, Rick Springfield, Travis Tritt, Eddie Money, The Four Tops, and The Temptations.
