Matt Nathanson: The Last Great Pretender
As for the new music, Nathanson’s new LP, Last of the Great Pretenders, is due out July 16. Produced by Nathanson with Mike Viola and Jake Sinclair, the album is described as “a richer and deeper work both musically and lyrically than any of his previous LPs.” Look out for “deftly placed pop-cultural references and vivid details drawn from his keen observations of everyday life.” And of course Nathanson hasn’t forgotten to top “each song with an emphatic and seductive chorus hook.”
