Spectacular New MGMT Shows

This week MGMT laid out its fall plans – a European excursion taking the band to Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and the U.K. Plus, the psychedelic rockers added an extra stop to their North American tour.

The European adventure also includes shows in Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands and Ireland.

Earlier this month, MGMT broke the news to fans that vocalist/guitarist Andrew VanWyngarden had to undergo surgery on his left shoulder because of a recent injury.

“Don’t worry though, the show will go on! MGMT will be performing at ALL scheduled shows! BUT since Andrew’s shoulder may not be healed enough to play guitar, our good friend Hank Sullivant of Kuroma will be taking over his parts and Andrew will just be singing.”

The band says the new album is “coming soon” and that there will be more updates in June.
