Isle Of Man Sinks

Britain’s Isle Of Man Festival won’t be happening this year.  Citing soft ticket sales, organizers pulled the plug on the inaugural event and are now in refund mode. Scheduled for July 6, the one-day celebration of music was to feature performances by Johnny Marr, Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, Laura Mvula and others.

But all may not be lost for Isle Of Man ticket holders.  The festival is working on a deal where fans might be able to exchange their tickets for entry into the Wakestock Festival scheduled for July 12-14 in Abersoch, Wales.

“We know you are still very disappointed about not attending our festival this summer,” Isle Of Man organizers said in a statement. “To this end, we are working with the organisers of Wakestock festival to arrange for you to [swap] your tickets for our festival for a VIP ticket at theirs.

“If you would prefer a refund we will still work towards that but we wanted to give everyone that has supported us so magnificently an option. It would help us to know if you like this idea.”

Organizers have yet to update the Isle Of Man Festival’s website. Right now, the best sources of information for refunds and exchanges can be found on the event’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
