Molotov Headlining Jägermeister Music Tour

Molotov. The Jägermeister Music Tour. Those two have so much in common – why haven’t they raised a glass together before?! There must be plenty of cocktail puns to be made. This summer the Mexican rock band will headline the Jägermeister Music Tour.

Over the past decade the Jägermeister Music Tour has featured some of the biggest names in rock including Slipknot, Slayer and Portugal. The Man. And now, in its 11th year, the lineup will be topped by the tour’s first-ever Latin band.

“Molotov is the perfect fit for this tour as we at Jagermeister look to continue our efforts within the Latin community,” says Jägermeister director of music marketing Cliff Rigano. “These guys are international superstars, and it is both an honor and a privilege to have Molotov as our first-ever Latin band to headline a Jägermeister Music Tour.”

Tito Fuentes and Miguel Huido of Molotov take it south for a show in Lima, Peru, at the Círculo Militar de Jesús María.

During the band’s 18+ career, the rockers have sold more than 3.5 million albums, headline festivals around the world, won four Latin Grammy awards, picked up three MTV VMA awards, and even landed on the cover of a little concert trade publication called Pollstar, back in 1999.

Up next is the Jägermeister Tour, which begins in late July in Orlando, Fla. Hosted by an Jägermeister emcee, the shows will include support acts yet to be announced.

“We’re really excited to headline the 2013 Jägermeister Music Tour,” said Molotov multi-instrumentalist Tito Fuentes. “We haven’t toured the US in some time, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner than Jägermeister, a band favorite. Molotov esta en la casa!”
