A Book And Lessons From Lamb Of God Members

Blythe certainly has something to write about.  The frontman was arrested last year in Prague and eventually charged with manslaughter in relation to an incident that took place in May 2010  when the band played the Czech Republic city and a fan died after the show.  Police contended that the fan, who reportedly jumped onto the stage several times during the Lamb Of God gig, died of injuries from allegedly being pushed off of the stage. Arrested in June 2012 when the band returned to Prague to play a show at the Hard Rock Cafe, Blythe was released on bail in August and wasn’t actually charged with manslaughter until December.  A Czech court cleared the singer in March 2013.

Now Blythe is telling the tale, putting pen to paper to detail every single moment of the past year of his life in what is sure to be a must-read, not only for fans but for any American who has had brushes with local law enforcement while traveling abroad.  The rights to his so-far untitled story were sold to De Capo Press by the booking agency repping Lamb Of God.

This won’t be the first rock memoir published by De Capo Press.  The company was also behind books by Corey Taylor, Rex Brown, Al Jourgensen and Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi.

“While I’ve dreamed of being a published author almost since I began to read, I never imagined my first book would center around such a sad topic,” Blythe said.  “Sometimes though, life unexpectedly provides you a story that needs to be told.  I believe this one does (for several different reasons, not just for the benefit of myself), so I will tell it with the respect and dignity all involved deserve.  This will be a good read, I promise you, and I hope some good comes of it.”

Blythe’s “good read” will be published in 2014.

While Blythe puts his thoughts to paper, Lamb Of God’s Willie Adler will be putting his guitar talents online in a series of lessons via AllAxess.com.  This will be the first in the music community/media company’s Platinum Series music instruction sets.

Along with offering a “complete insight” into Adler’s playing, warm-up routines, riffs and left hand/right hand exercises, the series will include six never-before-heard jam tracks and audio loops produced by Adler for the lessons. Produced with multi-camera angles, the instructional set will also give users opportunities to partake in follow-up Q&As with the guitarist.
