Australia Shows: Beyoncé, Calexico, Stephen Lynch & More

Live Nation announced that Beyoncé’s “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” goes downunder starting in late October. Live Nation announced an initial five arena shows Oct. 22 to Nov. 8.

Live Nation also has U.S. violinist-troubadour Lindsey Stirling doing her first visit to Australia. She does three club dates Aug. 24-28.

Air Supply returns to Australia where it all began 40 years ago, on the first day of rehearsals for “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Mellen Entertainment and Bluehawk Presents now have them booked for three theatres Nov. 29 to Dec. 8.

Calexico returns after a three-year absence, through Billions Australia. The nine dates, Sept. 17-28, are a mix of festivals, theatres and clubs.

New Zealand’s Tiny Ruins opens most dates as do Melbourne’s bluegrass act Quarry Mountain Dead Rats.
