Watsky Teams With Wax For U.S. & Europe
You’ll get twice the fun this fall when rap/hip hop phenoms Watsky and Wax join forces for a co-headlining trip encompassing the U.S. and Europe. The “Hug A Hater” tour launches in October with onsales beginning this week.
Everything is coming together for Watsky this year. With his Cardboard Castles album selling like crazy, the artist has been profiled in publications ranging from USA Today to Pollstar and even appeared in Netflix’s “Arrested Development” revival. The Boston Herald had nothing but praise for Watsky, describing him as “a pioneer blending Rivers Cuomo’s earnest alienation, Eminem’s furious flow and B.o.B’s quirky hipster vibe.”
Having released his indie album Continue earlier this year, Wax has racked up 44 million views and 307,000 subscribers with videos such as “Rosana,” which gathered 23 million views. Wax’s latest video – “I Should Have Tried Harder” – was released last week.
Now the two rising artists are sharing the ticket for an October-November run on both sides of the pond. Here’s the “Hug A Hater” tour itinerary:
