Free Shows By Metric, Erykah Badu & More

Red Bull gives you wings … and tickets to free shows! The energy drink company is launching a concert series in 10 U.S. cities this month featuring free shows headlined by acts including Metric and Erykah Badu, with support from local Red Bull Sound Select artists.

Brought to you by Red Bull Sound Select, the program aims “to support local music scenes and the people who push them forward.” The newest artists in the program will be introduced to fans through the free showcases being held July 26-28 in New York, West Hollywood, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, Minneapolis and Seattle.

Along with Metric and Erykah Badu, headliners include Black Lips, Azealia Banks, Frightened Rabbit, The Dandy Warhols, The Gaslight Anthem, The Airborne Toxic Event, Yeasayer and Dirty Projectors.

Folks referred to as “some of the most respected music voices in each city” and “local music influences” curate the lineup for the showcase. Those artists get to help pick the fans who are invited to attend the gigs, awarding the most passionate music lovers with tickets.
