Man Arrested For Swift Threats
Swift’s team reportedly alerted authorities of the Facebook threat during the Heinz Field concert. When police found Joseph Jackson with posters that echoed the online statements and questioned him, he became agitated, KDKA news reported.
Police reports obtained by the station noted Jackson told arresting officers “Taylor Swift is Satan and that 6,000 years is six days and death comes on the sixth day, so Taylor Swift is in danger.”
The posters were confiscated and Jackson was searched, the reports said, though no weapons were found. He was handcuffed and taken to jail to undergo a mental evaluation.
Local attorney David Shrager told KDKA certain statements made online may be used against someone in court.
“My advice is don’t say anything on the internet you wouldn’t say in front of a police officer, a judge, a prosecutor or your mother,” he said.
