Todd Snider’s Shoeless Solo

If an evening of songs and stories sounds right up your alley, then listen up – Todd Snider is kicking off his “Without Shoes” tour of the States this fall.

Snider’s been pretty busy in recent times, recording with a new project dubbed the Hard Working Americans, which includes Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Neal Casal (Chris Robinson Brotherhood), Duane Trucks (Col. Bruce Hampton) and Chad Staehly (Great American Taxi). And he’s also working on his first book, featuring memoirs and short stories. The band’s album is tentatively set to be released in early 2014, with the book due out next summer.

In the meantime, Snider is going to keep doing what he does best, solo-style, with a trek that will begin in Bowling Green, Ky., Oct. 10 and continue westward to wrap in Tomball, Texas, Oct. 28.

“I’m planning on doing two sets that include old and new songs, new and old stories, daily poems each night, and a Q&A session followed by requests,” Snider said. “I’m also very excited to announce that joining us to MC and DJ, will be special guest Rufus Road Runner Ferguson.”
