An ‘Immersive’ Adventure From Bassnectar

The producer/DJ unveils plans for his fall “Immersive Music Tour” of North America, promising lots of hi-tech bells and whistles to give fans opportunities to “lose themselves in the depths of music.”

The road trip beginning in mid-September promises to be the opposite of what Lorin Ashton aka Bassnectar did during the first half of 2013 when he ventured forth with a back-to-basics presentation playing intimate rooms.  That is, when he wasn’t playing sold-out shows in slightly larger venues, such as his two nights at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

“Our goal is to bring you the most immersive Bassnectar experience possible this fall with enhanced production, enhanced ambassador immersion, and an alphabet of special effects,” Bassnectar said.  “We want to create the ideal atmosphere for people to lose themselves in the depths of music, like a journey into another world.”

Launching after Bassnectar plays the Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, and ending a few days before his New Orleans Voodoo gig, the tour includes a headlining appearance at the Mountain Electronic Music Summit in Asheville, N.C.  Other destinations include St. Louis, Kansas City, Toronto and Pittsburgh.  Koan Sound and Andreilien support on most dates.  Here’s the routing:
