Empire Of The Sun Strikes Back

Australian electronic duo Empire Of The Sun has shed a little light on its U.S. tour beginning in Washington D.C. in September. Playing intimate venues, you’ll find Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore in such fine locales as New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Empire Of The Sun also has a few one-off August shows in the U.S., playing Austin City Limits Live At The Moody Theater Aug. 1; Los Angeles’ in Los Angeles State Historic Park Aug. 4; the in Eugene, Ore., Aug. 25; Salt Lake City Aug. 29 and in Philadelphia Aug. 31.

Supporting its Ice On the Dune album that came out in June on Astralwerks, the band recently made its U.S. television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where it kicked off the show’s new monthly “Live Stream” concert series. Here is the video for the first single from the album, a little ditty called “Alive.” Feel free to stand up and dance if you’re at work.

Empire Of The Sun is also slotted for the scheduled for Oct. 26-27 in downtown Las Vegas although daily lineups have not yet been announced.
