Philly Venue Reborn
The former 23 East nightclub in Philadelphia will reopen under the name Ardmore Music Hall in mid-September thanks to new owners with big plans.
Club owner Joe Rufo, Point Entertainment’s Richard Kardon and Bonfire Booking’s Bryan Dilworth are combining their expertise to update the popular club as a concert venue, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
Improvements to the building include sound upgrades, a relocated stage, improved seating that will accommodate 250 to 600 and a full kitchen, Rufo told the paper.
Ardmore Music Hall is scheduled to open Sept. 12 with plans to host concerts three or four times a week.
