Dessa Has Something To Say
The album, which Mother Jones called “a potent blend of pop, R&B and hip-hop strung together by Dessa’s sultry voice and explosive songwriting,” should provide Dessa with plenty of smart new material for the stage.
The “Parts Of Speech” tour kicks off with festival appearances at Summer Set and Riot Fests, then headline shows at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live, and wraps with a set at Pygmalion Festival in Champaign, lll., on Sept. 28.
And if you can’t wait until next month to see Dessa, here’s a link to a standout track on the new album, Call Off Your Ghost.
