The Selecter Adds Second Leg

There’s no rest for The Selecter. The band is following up a summer of festivals with the second leg of its U.S. “Non-Stop Pressure” tour in September.

The two-week trek will see the ’70s ska legends hitting the East Coast and Midwest for the first time in nearly a decade, kicking things off in Minneapolis Sept. 13 and wrapping in Washington, D.C., Sept. 22.

The current revitalized incarnation of The Selector took off in 2010 when the band got together to perform at the Sinners Day Festival in Hasselt, Belgium, for the 30th anniversary of its debut album Too Much Pressure.

Now it’s 2013 and The Selecter is back with another new studio album – String Theory – currently available in the U.K. only.

The release got the band back on the road for the first round of “Non-Stop Pressure” dates on the West Coast earlier this year – their first time in the U.S. since touring with No Doubt in 1997 and a few select dates in 2003.
