Colin Meloy Books Fall Solo Tour

The Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy is embarking on his first solo tour in five years in November with a setlist featuring “songs you’re dying to witness live” as well as “songs you’d sort of forgotten about and to which you’re not exactly opposed to listening.”

Along with the tour, Meloy is releasing a new EP of covers. His previous Colin Meloy Sings albums have featured tunes from Morrissey, Shirley Collins and Sam Cooke.

An announcement from the band asks its mailing list recipients, “What will it be this time? Who knows? Does he even know? Possibly not.”
