Neutral Milk Hotel In 2014

Neutral Milk Hotel is making up for all of those years off the road by already filling next year’s schedule with dozens of gigs. Today the indie rockers announced 30 new North American dates, which means it’s time for fans to start making plans for 2014.

Fronted by singer/songwriter Jeff Mangum, Neutral Milk Hotel is set to return to the stage in October for its first tour since disbanding in the late ‘90s.

After a handful of initial 2013 dates were scheduled, Ground Control Touring’s Jim Romeo assured us that more shows would be added including “a fuller tour planned for 2014 that will span the globe.” Here is how 2014 is shaping up for Neutral Milk Hotel so far:

The band’s 2014 itinerary also includes appearances at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound (which runs May 29-31) and Optimus Primavera Sound in Porto, Portugal (scheduled Jun 5-7).  

Tickets for the new North American dates go on sale beginning Aug. 2.
