Fine Line Changing Hands

Minneapolis’ Fine Line Music Café is changing owners and the 759-capacity club has been sold.

“The Fine Line Music Café will be under new ownership and management effective August 6th,” a statement on the Fine Line website said. “The new business will be part of Minneapolis Event Centers operated by Entourage Events Group.”

Entourage Events owns two local bars – Aqua and Elixir – according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Longtime owner Dario Anselmo told the paper the new owners, brothers Jado and Steve Hark, hope to continue live music at the club but also plan to host more private parties in the space.

“Those guys have more experience on [the private party] front than I did, and that’s essential,” Anselmo said. “The live music business has gotten to be a pretty expensive one to be in.” Upcoming dates on the books at Fine Line Music Café include Jake Bugg, Murder By Death, and Deerhunter.
