Pitbull & Ke$ha, Cohen, Akon Returning

Pitbull and Ke$ha’s team-up for North American is extended to Australia.

Dainty Group has the duo for five arena dates Oct. 30 to Nov. 8. The pair has a combined total of 18 Top 10 hits downunder in the past four years.

The shows are opened by Aussie act Justice Crew, which had five hits after winning “Australia’s Got Talent” in 2010. Pitbull signed them to his 305 label after hearing their chart-topping five-times platinum single “Boom Boom” and double-platinum “Best Night.”

They were part of the duo’s North American run.

Five years ago, Leonard Cohen reconnected with Australian audiences after an 18-year absence with moving three-hour concerts.

He returns for the third time since, in November and December.

Frontier Touring Company has booked his largest visit downunder, with the poet spending a month in Australia and New Zealand.

The 12 arena dates in metropolitan and regional cities, Nov. 13 to Dec. 21, include two winery shows. Planetroc’s inaugural urban music show Episode One features AkonT.I. and Moroccan-born, New York-based rapper French Montana.

It bows at Auckland’s  (Oct. 9) then Melbourne  (Oct. 10), Sydney  (Oct. 11) and Brisbane  Oct. 12).

Metropolis Touring, Southbeat Entertainment and Tombowler have Martha Davis and the Motels doing 14 theatre and club shows Nov. 13 to Dec. 4. It is Davis’ first visit here since 2007 when she toured solo as part of the 1980s-thermed Countdown Spectacular.

Dainty Group added four more dates to Michael Bublé’s April 2014 visit, bring the total to 11.

Irish singer-songwriter  returns for 13 dates Sept. 5-25, a mix of theatres, clubs, wineries and church halls.
