Edward Sharpe Reveals Big Top Lineup

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros has announced the acts that will help the indie folk band “dazzle and amaze all ages” when the circus experience founded and curated by the group comes to Los Angeles. The “Big Top” will feature Fool’s Gold, Rocco DeLucca and more.

The music and performance art festival will be held at Los Angeles State Historic Park Oct. 17-20. Sunday, Oct. 20 features two events – a matinee show for families, followed by the evening’s festivities.

At the center of the “Big Top” is, naturally, the big tent, offering 360-degree tiered seating, the perfect setting for intimate performances in the round. The outdoor space around the tent will feature a farmer’s market, avant-garde performances, and games as well as local vendors, artisans, and charities.

What else is on the agenda? In addition to music, there will be vaudeville comedy, contortionists, acrobats, puppetry, and interactive performance art. Oh, and “late night happenings.”

The lineup includes Scott Land Marionettes, Lucent Dossier, Torque Method, Aaron Embry, Henry Wolfe and Cassorla. Plus, Chris Trew will bring the laughs and Christopher Wonder will show off some magic. Some acts will only appear on select dates. You can count on Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes being in the center of the Big Top’s tent at the end of the night for a headline performance.
