Mark Knopfler Eyes West Coast

Mark Knopfler announces four dates scheduled for October with the Dire Straits founder playing shows in California and Nevada. Presales for select markets begin this week and onsales for two cities launch Friday.

Supporting the Sept. 10 U.S. release of Privateering, Knopfler and his band begin the trek in Long Beach followed by a gig at Las Vegas’ Pearl before returning to California for shows in Los Angeles and Oakland.

Here’s the plan:

Oct. 23 – Long Beach, Calif., Terrace Theater
Oct. 25 – Las Vegas, Nev., Pearl Concert Theater
Oct. 26 – Los Angeles, Calif., The Wiltern
Oct. 27 – Oakland, Calif., Fox Theater
