The Collective Soul frontman teamed up with group of friends and musicians to try a new approach to songwriting for the record, which is apparently heavy on the autobiographical and emotional tracks.

The first single off Devils ’N Darlins, “Love Won’t Bring Us Down,” is available now via iTunes and Amazon.  Visit the 429 Records website to preview songs from the album.

Aside from recording, Ed Roland & The Sweet Tea Project has been keeping busy with residencies earlier this year in Atlanta and Athens, Ga. The band also won an ESPN contest that reimagined the NBA’s theme music.
