More Flaming Lips + Tame Impala Gigs
The new dates are scheduled in California with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Barbara.
Tame Impala’s agent, Paradigm’s Kevin French, told Pollstar that the bands “are just really big fans of each other.”
He added, “On the last tour … some of the Flaming Lips came out to a Tame Impala show in Tulsa and they all you know, bro-ed down and talked about it and everyone is excited for the fall.”
Including the previously announced East Coast gigs, here’s the complete itinerary for The Flaming Lips/Tame Impala dates:
Sept. 30 – Boston, Mass., Agganis Arena
Oct. 1 – New York, N.Y., Terminal 5
Oct. 2 – New York, N.Y., Terminal 5
Oct. 3 – Philadelphia, Pa., Penn’s Landing
Oct. 4 – Columbia, Md., Merriweather Post Pavilion
Oct. 29 – Los Angeles, Calif., Greek Theatre
Oct. 31 – San Francisco, Calif., Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
Nov. 1 – Santa Barbara, Calif., Santa Barbara Bowl
“With those two bands together, I think it works so well,” French said. “And it’s going to be one of those must-see show for anybody who is a fan of either one of those bands.”
