Guy Sebastian Goes Platinum
R&B singer Guy Sebastian joined an exclusive Australian club in the United States.

His duet with Lupe Fiasco, “Battle Scars,” has sold more than 1 million units since its August 2012 release.
Written by Sebastian, it was released under his name in Australia, where it sold 560,000 units and was also a Top 10 hit in Norway and New Zealand.
But in America it was credited to Lupe Fiasco “featuring” Sebastian. It was included on the trailer for Oprah Winfrey’s new movie “The Butler.”
Only five other Australian-based acts have had platinum singles – AC/DC, Men At Work, Gotye, Olivia Newton John and Havana Brown. INXS, Jet, Keith Urban and Savage Garden sold million-plus albums only.
