The firm handling the project, Mortenson Construction, reportedly finished the $179 million, 15,500-capacity arena more than one month early and removed fences around the venue.

Finishing touches on the building, which features a steep seating configuration, 36 suites lining the bowl and 20 additional mini-suites, continue on concession stands and artwork.

The first event on the books will be graduation ceremonies for the university.

An open house is set for Aug. 29-31.
