City Winery Branches Out

New York City’s  is branching out with a new lease in Napa, Calif., and plans to purchase a building in Nashville.

While both locations will include 300-seat concert halls plus a restaurant, Napa will include a tap-wine room with local product and Nashville will feature a fully operational winery.

“It’s great to have found the ideal mix of music, food, and wine that is appealing to a sophisticated audience,” founder and CEO Michael Dorf said in a statement.

“We continue to hear from lots of artists and fans that our concert experience is an ideal setting to enjoy both music and the culinary arts.”

With City Winery’s move into new markets will come some changes in the company’s management structure.

NYC program director Shlomo Lipetz becomes national program director and will oversee booking in all locations.

Libby Brickson is being promoted to program director at City Winery Chicago and Colleen Miller will transition to an outside consultant role.

Napa Valley Opera House Artistic Director Peter Williams has been named program director at the Napa location.
