Chic kicks off with another festival, Subsonic, outside Sydney Dec. 6, and four club dates ending Dec. 15, booked by Eric Powell and Live Industry.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre, which had a successful run in 2012, do an extra eight club and theatre dates Dec. 10-29 through Principal Entertainment, joined by young UK act KVB.

Deerhunter will do three club shows Dec. 9-11 through Popfrenzy.

Handsome Tours brings The National back for four open-air and one theatre show Feb. 6-14. The band has not toured here since its sellout run in 2010 but played a one-off at the Splendour In The Grass this July.

Chicago deathcore outfit Oceano makes its Australian debut through Destroy All Lines, teamed up with Aversions Crown and Feed Her To The Sharks for eight club and youth centres Oc. 5-13.

The Game’s late August visit had a hiccup when promoter Hip Hop TV’s advance payment failed to land in his account in time. The rapper lashed out online about the promoter’s “extreme unprofessionalism.”

But 24 hours later, the post was gone, all was forgiven, and the tour was back on again with the first two shows rescheduled until the end of the 13-date run on Sept. 11.
