MLB Adds Concert Service

MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet company for Major League Baseball, has acquired worldwide platform distribution and sponsorship rights for the Global Citizen Festival to be held at NYC’s Central Park Sept. 28.

MLBAM will provide live-streaming, high definition and on-demand video services for the concert, a fundraiser for the Global Poverty Project produced by AEG.

Musical talent includes Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Mayer and Kings of Leon.

The move is part of MLBAM’s plan to distribute a variety of live events rather than baseball alone.
