College Drops VenuWorks
California University in Pennsylvania is cutting ties with VenuWorks after just a year of managing the school’s new convocation center.

University officials claim they can’t keep paying the company to run the $59 million, 6,000-seat center while the school is struggling to cut costs.
VenuWorks reportedly received a base management fee of about $10,400 per month.
The venue lost about $400,000 from nearly 100 events during its first 16 months in operation, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.
