Elvis Costello Opening Tokyo Club
TV Asahi, one of Japan’s major broadcast companies, will open a live music venue in the Roppongi entertainment district of Tokyo this December.
Ex Theater Roppongi is located across the street from the huge Roppongi Hills retail, office and residential complex, which houses TV Asahi’s television studios.
The venue is convertible between all-standing functions and seated functions.
When seating is installed the capacity is about 900.
Japan’s biggest rock group, B’z will inaugurate the venue on Nov. 30, followed by Elvis Costello and the Imposters Dec. 11-13, CSS Dec. 14, and former YMO leader Haruomi Hosono Dec. 21-22.
