Fans that missed out on tickets for the Halloween show in Los Angeles dubbed “Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton” are in luck – a second night has been added at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live Oct. 29.
As the name of the show implies, the event features music from all 15 Elfman/Burton collaborations including “Batman,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “Beetlejuice,” “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,” “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
John Mauceri is your conductor for the evening, which features the 87-piece Hollywood Symphony Orchestra and the 45-member Page LA Choir, along with film clips and the artwork of Burton. Plus, Elfman will make a guest appearance as Jack Skellington of “Nightmare Before Christmas” fame. The composer recorded the singing voice for Skellington, as well as a few additional characters.
Tickets are on sale now. Don’t wait another second before hitting “purchase” if you want to attend the gig. According to the Los Angeles Times, the first show sold out in 12 minutes.
U.K. dates are scheduled earlier in October and a U.S. tour is expected to be announced.
