Eagles To Reopen The Forum
That the Eagles would launch a revitalized Forum was announced in July when the Madison Square Garden Company unveiled plans for the venue, once the home of the L.A. Lakers and hockey’s Kings. The company acquired the building in June 2012 from the Faithful Central Bible Church which had owned the arena since 2000.
Spending more than $100 million towards the building’s makeover, the Madison Square Garden Company is going all-out to bring the Forum into the 21st century. Upgrades include 8,000 square feet of new event-level concession areas and bathrooms. To ensure fans won’t miss a minute of action, a tinted glass wall will separate the concession area from the arena floor. In other words, this isn’t your father’s Forum.
Dates for the Eagles reopening the Forum are Jan. 15 & 17-18.
