McCartney & Timberlake, Live From Hollywood Blvd.

Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake are taking it to the streets next week for a pair of free shows. Jimmy Kimmel has booked the stars on consecutive nights, featuring interviews followed by outdoor performances that will shut down Hollywood Boulevard.

With thousands of fans expected to attend the shows, the plan is to close down one-quarter mile of Hollywood Blvd. from Highland Ave to Sycamore Ave.

Macca is up first, making his first ever appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday, Sept. 23. After an in-studio Q&A, the former Beatle will play tunes from his catalog of songs stretching more than five decades.

On Tuesday Timberlake will talk to Kimmel about his new release, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2, before performing selections from the album. Plus, in collaboration with Skype, JT will take part in a fan chat live on the boulevard.

Although the shows are free, you’ll need to snag a ticket through a lottery. In addition to registering at 1iota.com and requesting a ticket, you’ll earn more chances to win by liking the free ticket site’s Facebook page and following 1iota, McCartney and Timberlake on Twitter.
