There is no camping or accommodations at the site, so those with multiple-day tickets must leave the venue at the end of every day.

The festival features seven stages. Clockenflap was launched in 2008 by local promoters Jay Forster, Mike Hill and Justin Sweeting for the purpose of putting Hong Kong “on Asia’s contemporary media-arts circuit.”

Its main value, according to NME, has been to “nurture the Chinese indie and alternative music scenes, as well as bring international talent to Chinese audiences.”

Last year, about 18,000 people attended, but the organizers say they expect 30,000 this year.
