Bruno Mars Opening New Sin City Venue

Bruno Mars is just the guy to open The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ intimate new concert venue/event space, The Chelsea. And what better time of year to celebrate a hot new spot in Sin City than New Year’s Eve? Plus, he’s already promised he’ll be back for more shows.

From booking the halftime show at the Super Bowl to his glowing reviews at this weekend’s iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, things have been going pretty smoothly for Mars this month. And now The Cosmopolitan can’t wait for Mars to return to the “Entertainment Capital of the World.”

“Bruno Mars is a perfect fit for the Cosmopolitan as he has a natural affinity for Las Vegas and is a true performer,” said The Cosmopolitan CEO John Unwin.

Mars will open the resort/casino’s The Chelsea with two shows Dec. 29 & 31.

The 3,000-capacity venue, which replaces the Chelsea Ballroom, is described as an “avant-grade approach to entertainment.” Features include cast glass chandeliers, a vintage lobby bar, private VIP opera boxes, a decorative grand staircase, brick tiling, an eclectic collection of stage production props, and – of course – “the latest technology.”

“Get ready, Vegas,” Mars said. “Me and the Hooligans are bringin’ live music to The Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea on New Year’s Eve. It’ll be our first time, but not our last.”

Mars has already locked down dates for his next appearances at The Chelsea. Pairs of gigs are scheduled through next summer: Feb. 15-16, May 23-24 and Aug. 22-23.

Tickets for all dates go on sale Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. New Year’s Eve packages will be available including a two-night stay, concert tickets, VIP check in, a $100 resort credit and more.
