More Concerts In JetBlue’s Future

 in Fort Myers, Fla., is more than just the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox.

AEG Live and team officials are working to attract more concerts and festivals to the area, such as the Sept. 21 Rockwave 2013 fest featuring Stone Temple Pilots  FilterChevelleJane’s Addiction and Anberlin

“That’s our goal,” Katie Haas, senior director of the Red Sox’s Florida business operations, told the Marco Island Sun Times. “We want to do bigger tours. There’s a huge demand here for live entertainment.”

The 10,832-capacity minor league baseball stadium that opened in Feb. 2012 hosted the April 14 Fort Rock festival featuring The OffspringStone SourPapa Roach and more.

The event reportedly drew about 8,000 fans, the paper said.
