Prudential Center’s Concert Focus

Apollo Global Management co-founder Josh Harris, who heads up the group that bought the team last month, told Bloomberg the building was a more important piece of the sale than the hockey team itself.

“We think that with the new capital structure and the new owne in Brooklyn.

Harris doesn’t seem worried, adding that “having a basketball team, an NBA team, in this arena is not in the business plan right now. We don’t think it’s necessary.”

Harris’ ownership group apparently sees the arena as complementary to Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center when it comes to concerts and special events in the region.
